PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Forestry officials and Kentucky State Police are searching for suspects after determining that eight fires in Bell County were intentionally set.

WYMT-TV reports that blazes on Saturday included some at Pine Mountain State Resort Park that posed a threat to the lodge, some cabins and some historical monuments.

Bell County Forest Ranger Lem Johnson said investigators worked on Wednesday to determine the exact points of origin and were following up on tips from area residents.

Officials are asking that anyone with information about the fires call the Arson Hotline at 800-27-ARSON.
