MARYVILLE (WATE) - As of Thursday night, flags in Blount County are flying at half-staff in memory of a county commissioner.

69-year-old Gordon Wright was found dead near his cabin yesterday after he was reported missing on Tuesday.

Authorities say he crashed his Jeep and was attempting to walk back to his home when he collapsed.

Autopsy results released Thursday show Wright likely died of natural causes.

Thursday evening, Blount County Commission voted to have all flags in the county fly at half- staff in his memory.

The flags will remain at half-staff until his funeral, which is tomorrow at 7 p.m.

The service is being held at Smithview Pavilion and Event Center in Maryville.
