POWELL (WATE) - A Knox County family's home was destroyed after it went up in flames Friday morning.

Rural/Metro firefighters say it happened around 4:45 a.m. on the 7800 block of Jefferson Oaks Drive.

Crews say the homeowners were not inside the house when the fire started. They were on vacation.

No injuries have been reported, and firefighters say most of the house is destroyed.

Rural/Metro says the fire spread fast.
