Raleigh, NC (WATE) - Move over college basketball fans, here come the Vols.
The Tennessee men's basketball team is moving on to the Sweet 16 after an 83-63 win over Mercer in a second round game of the NCAA Tournament.
Tennessee never trailed in the game.
The Vols were led by Josh Richardson who had a career high 26 points.
Jarnell Stokes had 17 points and 18 rebounds.
Tennessee led 42-27 at the half.
The No. 11 seed Vols will play No. 2 seed Michigan later this week in Indianapolis.
The winner advances to the Elite Eight to face either No. 8 seed Kentucky or No. 4 seed Louisville.
The Vols have won eight of their last nine games and are in the NCAA Tournament for the first time under head coach Cuonzo Martin.
Tennessee's last trip to the Sweet 16 came in 2010. The Vols beat Ohio St. before losing to Michigan St. 70-69 in the Elite Eight.
