SEYMOUR (WATE) - Sevier County deputies arrested a man after he allegedly caused an incident at Seymour Middle School on Monday.

Michael Floyd was apparently trying to borrow some money from his mother-in-law, who is a cafeteria worker at the school. Witnesses said he was confronted by a school resource officer while trying to go through the front door.

Floyd then allegedly said he would "knock out the school resource officer."

When deputies arrived on scene, they say Floyd was parked outside of the school.

He was taken into custody without incident.
