Man apologizes after holding up gas station at knifepoint

A man robbed a gas station clerk in west of Nashville at knifepoint early Tuesday morning and allegedly apologized before fleeing.

It happened after 2:30 a.m. at the Twice Daily mart inside the Shell station located at 7201 Highway 70 South in Bellevue.

The suspect reportedly told the clerk he was sorry and he was having a bad day before fleeing on foot.

Police ran a K9 track but were unsuccessful.

Officials told News 2 the suspect is described as a while male with a balding head and bloodshot eyes. He weighs around 160 to 180 pounds and was wearing a gray hooded jacket with muddy shoes.
