It's not an uncommon gesture for someone to shave his or her head when a loved one is battling cancer. However, one little girl in Colorado is in trouble with her school after shaving her head to support her friend.
Kamryn Renfro shaved her head for her 11-year-old friend, Delaney, who lost her hair during her fight against neuroblastoma.
"It made me feel very special and that I'm not alone," Delaney told 9 News in Colorado.
Kamryn couldn't show off her new haircut at her school, though.
As it turns out, having a shaved head is a violation of the school's dress code policy.
The school, Caprock Academy, said its policy is clear. In a statement, the school said that under their current policy shaved heads were not permitted.
However, they did say exceptions are sometimes made to their policy under "extraordinary circumstances."
