JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

Johnson City Power Board officials said Friday that parts of the southern Johnson City areas will undergo a scheduled power outage Sunday.

According to JCPB, the power outage will affect South Roan Street, University Parkway, Milligan Highway, Rolling Hills Drive and Lafe Cox Drive.

The outage is scheduled for 2 a.m. and should reportedly only last two hours.

Power Board officials said they have been making calls to residents to let them know about the scheduled outage.

A regularly scheduled maintenance check this week reportedly found the insulators had gone bad at the substation and said they are trying to be proactive and change them during the scheduled outage.
