KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A vacant Knox County home was destroyed by fire early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out just after 12:30 a.m. in the 8700 block of Andersonville Pike.

Rural/Metro says the home was completely engulfed by flames when crews arrived on scene.

The owner, who lives next door, says the home had been empty since renters recently moved out. He also tells us the home had been broken into four times.

No one was injured in the fire.
