Man arrested after making unwanted advances, trying to hit people with car

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) - A Jonesville, Virginia man was arrested in Johnson City this morning after police said he made unwanted advances to a woman at a Johnson City restaurant.

According to police, Ronald Anderson, 47, made unwanted contact with a female customer at Perkin’s and then tried to hit other people with his car while fleeing the scene.

Investigators said Anderson was later found at a crash site just outside Johnson City where he was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

He’s charged with DUI, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and one count of Sexual Battery.

His bond was set at $26,000. He posted bail and will appear in court Monday afternoon.
