KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A section of Chapman Highway was shut down Monday morning as crews worked to clear a wreck.

The Knoxville Police Department reports that at 2:50 a.m. on Monday morning, a semi-truck pulling a car hauler with six vehicles on board ran off Chapman Highway near Lake Forest Drive and crashed into a utility pole.

The crash caused the semi's fuel tanks to rupture spilling diesel fuel onto the ground.  Both lanes of southbound Chapman Highway were closed due to the fuel spill.

The driver of the truck, Jason Draughn, 34 of Oneida, was cited for careless driving.

Authorities say no one was hurt in the crash.
