MORRISTOWN (WATE) - Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle crash early Monday morning in Hamblen County.

Officials say the crash happened around 5:20 a.m. on Interstate 81 near Exit 15.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2005 Dodge operated by Horan Morales, 29, was stalled in the northbound lane.

A fuel tanker driven by Mark Cutshall, 39, then crashed into the Dodge's driver's side door.

Morales and a passenger, Elizabeth Velascobautista, 32, were both ejected from the vehicle and were killed. Another passenger, Omar Velasco, 27, was taken to the hospital for a broken leg.

No charges have been filed in the incident.
