KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Police acting on a tip about an active meth lab Saturday in Knoxville, instead found meth making materials and a wanted man.

Knoxville police officers responded to a home on Fountain Road Saturday afternoon around 1:55 p.m. to investigate a possible active meth lab.

After receiving permission to search the home, a man identified as Eddie Horne, 33, was found hiding in the attic. He was detained for questioning.

Officers then located what appeared to be meth making materials in the garage.

Horne was charged with cultivating/manufacturing/publishing methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He also had an outstanding warrant for violation of probation on a theft charge and two failure to appear warrants.

Horne was apparently staying at the Fountain Road residence but does not live there permanently.
