Islamabad, Pakistan -

A 9-month-old Pakistani boy has now been charged and booked on attempted murder charges.  His family members allegedly threw bricks at police trying to collect an unpaid gas bill in February.

Police officials say the little boy's father, a teenage son and others in the residence severely injured some of the officials by tossing bricks.

The toddler appeared in court, was fingerprinted by police and officially charged with attempted murder.

The family's lawyer, Irfan Tarar, said "The police filed a wrong, false arrest charge sheet and brought this innocent 9-month-old into this court room for an appearance."

A Pakistani official was suspended for registering the case against the baby boy but charges were still filed.

The toddler is out on bail and is scheduled back in court April 12 for a hearing on April 12.
