Loudon police: Duo busted with dozens of stolen electronics


LOUDON (WATE) – A pair of suspected burglars was busted after officers say there were caught with dozens of stolen electronics.

Loudon police say officers responded to a disabled car along Highway 72.

They say they found Thomas Davenport and Georgia Ray Evans, Jr., along with dozens of electronics. They're charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and officers say other charges are pending.

The electronics included two large televisions, Xbox gaming systems, a laptop, other small electronics and a handgun.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered the stolen items were taken during a residential burglary in Knoxville.  Loudon detectives are working with Knoxville police to return the property.
