Dolly Parton to release new bluegrass album, Blue Smoke

KNOXVILLE, TN (WATE) - Local music legend Dolly Parton is set to release her 42nd studio album, a collection of bluegrass songs entitled Blue Smoke on April 24.

The album marks the first release of new music from Parton since 2011 and features duets with Kenny Rogers and Willie Nelson. Blue Smoke also includes covers of Bob Dylan's "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" and Bon Jovi's "Lay Your Hands on Me."

Dolly is scheduled to support the release of Blue Smoke with a broadcast on QVC, live from Nashville, Sunday, April 27 at 7 p.m. (ET). The hour-long show will feature Parton performing, live in front of a studio audience, songs from Blue Smoke as well as a few of her hits.

A tour is also underway to support the release. The Blue Smoke World Tour is the eleventh concert tour by Parton. The tour started in January 2014 will play over 40 shows in North America, Australia and Europe.
