Augusta, Ga. (WATE) - Tennessee golfer Oliver Goss will celebrate his 20th birthday by playing the third round of the Masters golf tournament.
Goss shot 1-under 71 on Friday and is 3-over for the tournament-- good enough to make the cut and play the entire weekend.
The Tennessee sophomore told 6 Sports before his practice round on Tuesday that he was taking a wait and see approach to the weekend.
"It would be great to make the weekend and be low amateur," said Goss. "Other than that I am not putting any numbers in my head."
Goss played his Tuesday practice round with 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott, a fellow Australian.
Goss birdied No. 2, No. 8 and No. 14. He took bogies on No. 9 and No. 16.
He will tee off at 11:15 AM on Saturday with Italy's Francesco Molinari.
Former Vol Garrick Porteous and Knoxville's Scott Stallings failed to make the cut.
