KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A fire destroyed a home in East Knoxville in less than an hour Sunday night.

The house at 2445 Linden Avenue, near Chestnut Street, caught fire just before 10:30 p.m. The roof and floors inside collapsed shortly before 11:10 p.m.

The neighboring house at 2441 Linden Avenue also caught fire, but crews were able to quickly put it out. 

Officials say no one lived at the house that burned. No word on a cause for the fire at this time. 

Investigators were on the scene Sunday night, but said they would not be able to get inside the house until Monday morning.
