Overnight blaze destroys Northwest Knoxville home

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Firefighters were busy extinguishing a house fire in Northwest Knoxville early Tuesday morning.

The Knoxville Fire Department says it happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 2800 block of Knott Road.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, the two-story wood structure was fully engulfed in flames.

Officials say the house was being renovated, but there was no power inside the home.

The house was completely destroyed in the fire.

No injuries have been reported, and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
