SULLIVAN COUNTY, TN (WJHL) - A new television show is putting a local sheriff's office in the national spotlight.

Tuesday April 15th, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office joins a sheriff's department in Ashe County, North Carolina on National Geographic's new series called "Southern Justice".

"Southern Justice" airs Tuesday at 10 p.m. on National Geographic. 

The debut episode called “Bath Salts and Battery" features Sullivan County deputies launching a successful manhunt for a suspect who allegedly assaulted both his girlfriend and father under the influence of bath salts. 

The agencies in Sullivan County and Ashe County are headed up by Sheriff Wayne Anderson and Sheriff James Williams, respectively .
