Knoxville police searching for Pilot armed robbery suspects

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville police are searching for the suspects that held up a gas station early Wednesday morning.

Dispatch says it happened after 5 a.m. at the Pilot located on the 2900 block of Tazewell Pike.

The Knoxville Police Department says two men entered the store, took out handguns and demanded money.  The suspects got away with some cash and cigarettes before fleeing the scene.

The victim was forced to the floor during the robbery but is okay.

KPD says the suspects fled east into the woods.

Police say the suspects are described as two black males in their mid 20's.  Both were wearing black clothing, were 5'10" to 6" and weighed about 160 lbs.
