Smokies defeat Generals 7-2


KODAK (WATE)- Tennessee's leadoff man John Andreoli and center fielder Jae-Hoon Ha combined to drive in four runs during a five run fourth as the Smokies defeated the Jackson Generals 7-2 at Smokies Park on Wednesday.

Cubs' right-hander Jake Arietta got his 3rd start with the Smokies on Wednesday as part of the Major League rehabilitation program. He allowed just 1 run on 3 hits over his 5.2 innings. He also had 2 strikeouts. 

Arietta is now 1-1 with the Smokies. 

Trevor Miller started for the Generals and allowed five earned runs and six total over 3 and 2/3 innings pitched. Miller (0-2) walked three and struck out two in the loss.

The Smokies play a double-header against Jackson on Thursday.
