Woman arrested for drug possession in Hawkins Co. park

ROGERSVILLE (WATE) - Hawkins County deputies arrested a woman for drug possession on Wednesday at a city park.

According to the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office, deputies pulled Lisa Marie Whitaker over after receiving complaints of drug trafficking in Rogersville City Park.

Deputies say they had prior knowledge that Whitaker had a revoked Tennessee driver license before pulling her over.

Officers say they recovered a number of schedule III controlled substances, along with several handwritten notes that are believed to be drug ledgers.

Whitaker was charged with Possession of Schedule III controlled substance with Intent to Deliver and/or sell.
She is currently being held in the Hawkins County Jail pending an arraignment on Friday.
She is being held on a $20,000 bond.
