Man stabbed at Walter P. Taylor homes

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man appears to have been stabbed Saturday evening in a parking lot at Walter P. Taylor homes in East Knoxville.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident at 2222 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue. Knoxville Police officers responded there after a stabbing was reporter.

Officers located a man with injuries to his chest consistent with being stabbed. 

Witnesses said there had been a fight before the victim was stabbed. He was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center by Rural/Metro ambulance for treatment of what appeared to be life threatening injuries.

Forensic technicians and investigators are continuing the investigation at this time.
