KNOXVILLE (WATE) - 6 News has obtained video from University of Tennessee police bodycams from Saturday night’s block party in Fort Sanders.

The images are hard to see at times, but you can clearly hear a lot of what happened.

The video reveals the crowd chanting different things, at one point saying, “USA!” and others saying “[Expletive] the police.”

Officers repeatedly told partygoers to get off the streets.

“Get out of the streets,” one officer exclaimed using a megaphone. “Yes, really, get out of the street.”

Police said about 800 people gathered at the block party. UTPD said some people began throwing beer bottles.

"I'm getting hit with [expletive],” one officer said.

“People are throwing [expletive] at us left and right," another officer responded.

In one clip, you can hear an officer admitting to being lenient to the crowd in the past, but saying those days are over.

“The parking, DUIs, public intoxication, open containers, all those things we've let fly for the last year because we've been cool are now going to be coming down 100 percent, addressed for the rest of the year,” the officer said.

At times, officers get frustrated with the crowd after telling them multiple times to disperse.

“If ya'll don't live here I'm going to put you in the back of my car,” an officer said. “That's how it's going to work if you can't show proof you live here."

Around 60 officers from UTPD, KPD and KCSO responded to the party.
