School officials in Oak Ridge revoke decision to cut Head Start

Posted:
OAK RIDGE (WATE) - School officials revoked a decision Tuesday that could have cut the Head Start Program in Oak Ridge.

6 News discovered last week that the Anderson County School Board had voted not to renew its contract with Oak Ridge Schools to operate Head Start.

A review in January found staff had mishandled student data, but then, school officials hammered out a 10-point plan for next year.

That agreement allows Oak Ridge to continue to receive funding through Anderson County.
