GREENEVILLE (WATE) - A vehicle connected to a missing Greene County inmate was located Monday in Sevier County, but the search continues for the inmate and a woman accused of helping him.

Greene County Sheriff Steve Burns says the red Pontiac Grand Am was found abandoned in Sevier County.

Ronnie Lee Shelton escaped from an outside recreational area of the Greene County Workhouse on Saturday. Shelton was serving a 30-day sentence for one misdemeanor count of drug paraphernalia possession and one misdemeanor count of criminal impersonation. 

An arrest warrant was also issued Monday for Stacey Ann Lowe for her part in aiding Shelton's escape.

Shelton has also been known to travel in a white Mazda 6 or a silver-champagne Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Ronnie Lee Shelton or Stacey Ann Lowe should contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Department at 423-798-1800 or the nearest law enforcement agency.
