KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The race for the at-large Knox County Commission seat for District 11 has two candidates with name recognition in the community. Ed Brantley worked in local radio for almost 30 years, and Michele Carringer has served in Knox County Commission once before.

We asked both candidates why they believe voters should choose them this primary.

"I have lots of business experience, 42 years in business in Knoxville. I've run five radio stations with revenue over $10 million a year, business experience, working with the staff and people. I've had a payroll of almost 100 people on a yearly basis and that's the difference between me and my opponent," said Brantley.

"I have been on County Commission for 20 months. I was honored to serve there for a temporary basis for District 7, so I feel like I have the experience. I do know what is going on in Knox County and the fact that I've been so involved in my non-profit boards," said Carringer.
