WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WATE) - A Whitley County parent was arrested Tuesday after allegedly getting into a fight with Whitley County High School's baseball coach during a game.

William Asher, 43, is charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of third degree assault of a school employee or volunteer.

Deputies say Whitley County High was hosting Lynn Camp High School in a regularly scheduled baseball game when Asher became upset that Head Coach Kyle Adams took Asher's son out of the game.

Asher entered the dugout and got into a verbal fight with the head coach. He then pushed Adams from behind and put him in a head lock.

Another coach was also struck during the altercation. Several student athletes were in the dugout at the time.

Asher is being held in the Whitley County Detention Center. Officials say additional charges may be filed.
