SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - Tennessee Department of Forestry officials are battling a large wildfire in Sevier County that may have been human-caused.

The fire started about 3 a.m. Wednesday morning near Bluff Mountain. The fire eventually spread to between 50 and 100 acres of steep, remote terrain, but is 75 percent contained.

Forestry officials say the fire began near an ATV trail, so it could have been intentionally set or started by a spark from an ATV or other engine. Officials say there was no bad weather in the area, so a natural cause is not likely.
