OLIVER SPRINGS (WATE) - A Clinton man was arrested after taking a 13-year-old girl to get her tongue pierced and pretending to be her father to sign consent forms.

Jeremy Vandinter, 36, was arrested Wednesday, but the piercing incident actually happened in Oliver Springs in September.

Officers say the girl apparently hid the piercing from her parents. They chose to notify police when they found out.

Vandinter is charged with aggravated child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is being held in the Roane County jail on $6,000 bond.
