KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Tennessee basketball player Robert Hubbs III is staying with the Vols.

Hubbs used twitter to announce on Thursday night that he has no intention of leaving the Vols and will play for new head coach Donnie Tyndall.

"I started out at Tennessee and I am staying at the University of Tennessee," Hubbs tweeted.

Tyndall confirmed with WATE 6 Sports that Hubbs has told him he is staying.

Hubbs was recruited by Cuonzo Martin. He played in twelve games last season before he was sidelined with a shoulder injury. He averaged five points and 13 minutes per game.

Hubbs was a highly rated shooting guard at Dyer County High School when he signed with the Vols in 2012.
