NEWPORT (WATE) - Cocke County Sheriff's deputies say they have located two inmates who escaped from the county jail Sunday.

Sheriff Armando Fontes says Austin Fine was taken into custody without incident early Monday around 12:30 a.m. Jimmy Grooms was captured late Monday morning.

Fontes says six male inmates were being supervised by three bonded ministry program workers outside the Cocke County Detention Facility Sunday when Fine and Grooms ran away.

According to Sheriff Fontes, the ministry program has been in place for three years and this is the first incident since its inception.

Grooms has been part of the rehabilitation program for over a year and attended weekly sessions as well as other rehabilitation programs. He was awaiting trial on alleged kidnapping and assault charges.

Fine recently entered the program after being convicted of a violation of his probation and theft charges.
