Man arrested in Anderson Co. stabbing case

CLINTON (WATE) - Police in Roane County arrested a teen on Sunday suspected in an Anderson County stabbing that happened in March.

Dakota Rogers, 19, of Knoxville was arrested Sunday night after a Roane County deputy found him to be "very nervous and... breathing very hard."

The deputy performed a routine check that showed Rogers was wanted in Anderson County. He is accused of stabbing Eric Waldron while purchasing a vehicle from Waldron's girlfriend on March 24. Waldron recovered from his injuries.

Rogers is being held in the Anderson County Jail and is charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated assault. Bond for Rogers is set at $125,000.
