KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The busiest coach in college basketball is at it again.

Donnie Tyndall has land another player--- this time it's Ian Chiles a 6-1 guard from IUPUI.

That's Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis.

“Ian brings a strong, physical and experienced lead guard to our team,” Tyndall said. “He’s a guy who can create for himself off the dribble and also get to the paint and make his teammates better as a play maker.

“With his experience at the Division I level, he’ll have an opportunity to come in and provide leadership from Day One.”

Tyndall has one year of eligibility left.

Also on Wednesday, Tennessee confirmed the signing of 6-8 forward Willie Carmichael who originally signed with Tyndall at Southern Miss.

“Willie Carmichael is my type of frontline guy,” Tyndall said. “He’s tough, athletic and hard-playing. As he gets stronger, he will have a greater and greater impact on our team – both defensively and as a rebounder.”
