KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A judge tripled the bond Friday for the suspect in a ten-hour standoff earlier this month with Knoxville police.

Shane Tucker was scheduled to be in court Friday, but he did not show up. His lawyer said he may be seeking mental treatment.

The judge raised Tucker's bond on both reckless endangerment and weapons possession charges, totaling more than $52,000.

Tucker was arrested on May 3. Police said he was seen waving a gun and firing shots along Interstate 40. He then barricaded himself inside his home, which is near the interstate.

He eventually turned himself in after police say they released tear gas into his home. No one was injured in the incident.
