False report charges filed in Monroe County missing woman case

MADISONVILLE (WATE) - A Monroe County man was charged with filing a false report that stated a woman had gone missing.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says Jimmy L. Harrison initially filed a missing person report on Keisha Wallace. Deputies say Harrison knew that Wallace was not legitimately missing.

Previous story: Missing Monroe County woman found in Etowah

Deputies had said Wallace was in danger due to a domestic incident with her estranged husband. She was later located in Etowah.

Harrison is currently being held at the Monroe County Jail. Bond has not yet been set.
