KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Well there's no doubt you're hoping for good weather Saturday so that you can get outside, if you don't have any plans yet why not head to downtown Knoxville? It's a jam-packed weekend and crews were busy preparing Friday evening for all the festivals.

One by one red and blue tents were popping up near Market Square, this is where you'll find biscuits and the goodies that go hand-in-hand at the International Biscuit Festival.

Marc and Linda Widzowski came down Friday night to make a to-do list for their booth, "We have a very elaborate set up, 14 different flavors and we wanted to make sure it would fit on the table. Physically that we were set up and prepared."

Just down the road it won't be hard to find a lively atmosphere. In fact, restaurants like Trio were checking soups and fresh produce Friday making sure everything was in stock for the weekend.

"The summer time in Market Square is our peak. There are so many activities that just keep us running hot, keep us on our toes, and we like that. We thrive under pressure," said manager Patrick Tice.

So whether you're looking for homemade biscuits, farm fresh produce, or watching athletes participate in a triathlon, everyone is ready to start enjoying busy weekends.

"The atmosphere is great, I love the energy with the live music. This is why I'm here right now because you never know what you're going to find," said Nashville resident Sara Lamb.

Both the Biscuit Festival and Farmer's Market kick-off around 9 Saturday morning.
