CORBIN, Ky. (WATE) - A Kentucky man was arrested in connection to an armed robbery back in April.
Whitley County Sheriff's Department, with help from Corbin Police Department, say they caught Justin D. Bell, 24, after pulling him over in Corbin around 11 p.m. Saturday.
Deputies say Bell was the passenger in the yellow Volkswagen driven by Corinna M. Jastle, 23. Deputies asked and got consent to search the vehicle and found hypodermic needles, an pill, which they believe to be oxycodone, a Lorcin .22 caliber pistol, scales, baggies, and $925 in cash were also found.
Deputies also searched Bell and found several small baggies containing methamphetamine, or ice.
Bell had several warrants relating to an armed robbery on April 30, when he allegedly pulled a gun on a man at the Speedway on Cumberland Falls Highway.
Bell faces charges of first-degree robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, trafficking in a controlled substance, theft by unlawful taking (over $500 but less than $10,000), theft by unlawful taking (under $500), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jastle faces charges of second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a prescription controlled substance not in its proper container.
Both are being held in the Whitley County Detention Center,
