ROCKWOOD (WATE) - A Roane County man serving overseas was able to see his little sister graduate high school via Facetime.

Peyton Payne sent 6 News a picture of her getting her diploma from Rockwood High school, while her brother Tyler Brown watched from the Middle East.

"I asked him if he was going to be able to Facetime, he said he would try. Then when I was walking in my mom was like Peyton look, and I turn around and she's holding up her phone and he could see me walking in," Payne said.

He was so excited. He already told me make sure you call, make sure you call, all day long he said make sure you call," said Erica Brown, Tyler's wife.

She says her husband is there for his country, and his family. He also Facetimes with his 18-month-old daughter Braylee.

"She just grins from ear to ear when she hears her dad's voice," Brown said.

Born with a rare brain defect, Brown says they take her health day by day.

"We don't know how long we're going to have her here. She's already lived longer than what we think. We're always worried something is going to happen when he's gone, so he loves to call and see her too," Brown said.
The family says Tyler should return home in July.
