KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville Police Department is asking for help in finding a missing man.

Officers say William Glenn Young, 60, was last seen around 3 a.m. on May 5, leaving his home on Sunflower Drive. Young left a message indicating he was going to harm himself.

Officials say Young left without taking any of his personal belongings, including his needed medications. Due to health issues, Young would not have been able to walk far from his home without assistance.

Young is described as a white man standing 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds. He has blue eyes with a shaved head and goatee. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and possibly house shoes. He also wears dentures.

Anyone who has had contact with Young should call the Knoxville Police Department at (865) 215-7212.
