KODAK (WATE) - Although school's not out yet in Sevier County, Thursday was a big day for some students, celebrating the end of the year.

It was yearbook day at Northview Academy in Kodak, but these students aren't getting your typical yearbook. It's 3-D, packed with memories and videos all thanks to new technology.

Over the past year, students have been collecting videos from big events. Through an app, they can watch the videos imprinted on the pages. Students can also scan a page with their cell phones, record a personal video message and leave it there, like a signature.

"'Cause so instead of their handwriting, you get to see your friend, if you're ever looking back at them, so that'd be definitely cool to see," said student Alexis Barnard.

This is Northview Academy's first year. The $30 million facility opened in the fall.
