KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Organizers of Knoxville's Biscuit Festival said they're making some changes to handle all large crowds next year.

John Craig with the biscuit festival said the event will double the amount of room reserved for its tasting booths next year. The festival will expand farther down Church Street.

6 News covered the story Saturday about the long lines stretching around the blocks.

Craig said this year was the first time the festival had any significant overcrowding problem.

Organizers have looked into possibly relocating. Craig said having the biscuit festival in the core of downtown is part of what makes it special.
