KSP say they got a call the morning of May 9 requesting assistance from the Knox County Sheriff’s Department after reports of a shooting.
Officials believe two of the suspects forced their way through a home by identifying themselves as law enforcement.

A struggle took place between the homeowner, Donald Mills. Officers say one of the suspects then shot Mills.

Mills was taken to the Knox County Hospital by his wife where he was pronounced dead.

Patrick Baker and Christopher Wagner were both arrested and charged with murder on May 16. Elijah Messer and Angela Mills were arrested the following day on the same charges.
