LOUDON (WATE) - One person is dead and others injured in a reported wrong-way crash along Interstate 75 in Loudon County.

According to Loudon County dispatchers, the incident began just after 3 a.m. on I-75 near the I-40 split in Loudon.

Dispatchers say they received reports of a driver traveling the wrong-way on the interstate, and that as many as four vehicles were involved in the pile-up.

Tennessee Highway Patrol troopers told 6 News that one person died in the crash. The identities of those involved has not yet been released.

TDOT says the accident is expected to be cleared by 7:30 a.m.

Officials say the southbound lanes are shut down, and that traffic will be diverted. Northbound traffic is unaffected.
