Lady Vols win over Sooners, force Game 3 on Sunday

NORMAN, Okla. (WATE) - The Lady Vols managed to tie up the NCAA Super Regional series on Saturday night after a 4-0 win against Oklahoma.

The game was scoreless and in the second inning when lightning forced a delay. The game wouldn't resume until nearly four hours later.

Tennessee freshman Megan Greer put the first point of the game on the board with a solo home run in the bottom of the second.

The Lady Vols scored three more runs in the fifth inning for the last points of the night.

Saturday night's win forces the Sooners into a Game 3.

The game was originally set to be played early Sunday morning following the previous game, but was later moved to Sunday.

It will be played at 3 p.m. Eastern Time and broadcast on ESPN.

The winner of the game will advance to the Women's College World Series.
