KNOXVILLE (WATE) - It started in San Francisco with a millionaire and a Twitter account and quickly inspired copycats in cities across the country.

It's called Hidden Cash Craze and it's now coming to Knoxville.

The Twitter accounts are popping up all over the place from Chicago to Milwaukee. Good Samaritans are looking to spread a little joy and now they've hit Tennessee.

The tweet officially came in at 6:14 p.m. Tuesday that Hidden Cash is coming to Knoxville.

Tina Gaddy was one of the lucky people to track down the cash when it came to Chicago, finding it in an envelope at Humboldt Park.

"The envelope says, 'Please take this gift and pay it forward,'" said Gaddy. "We can make a difference. Pay it forward and re-tweet with hidden cash sign on it. And there was also the pinwheel and there was $60 inside"

So where will the cash be hidden in Knoxville? With the clues yet to be released, we asked the people who we thought might know best.

"I would look around here," said Knoxville resident Lacalya Evans. "Downtown. Out west. I would look everywhere. I would try to find it."

Others say they would look in less obvious spots.

"I would look in a garbage can. Especially downtown," added another anonymous Knoxville dweller.

While we may not know the where, we do know the when.

Hidden Cash Tennessee told 6 News in a message: "It will be on Sunday and we will be giving clues throughout the day. We're glad to make it over to East Tennessee. Hopefully we can make someone smile."

They've already brought those smiles to Nashville with at least two people walking away a little richer.

As for who will be the lucky ones here in Knoxville, it's anyone's guess. The best advice though is to get your guesses ready now.
