LOUDON (WATE) - The Loudon County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in identifying a woman found walking along Interstate 75 Wednesday morning.

The woman was found walking north on the interstate around 8:30 a.m. She was unable to tell officers her name, but did say she is originally from New Jersey and had been living in the Athens and Sweetwater area for the past year.

The woman was also able to tell deputies she has a brother and father that may live in East Tennessee but was unable to give them any further information.

So far, officers have been able to track her to the Athens Waffle House where she spent the majority of the night before leaving Wednesday morning around 7 a.m.

She is described as a black woman with a small build. Anyone with information on the woman's identity is asked to call the Loudon County Sheriff's Office at (865) 458-9081.
