Body found in South Knoxville Tuesday night

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville Police Department is investigating after a body was discovered in South Knoxville Tuesday night.

Officers say they observed someone lying on the ground in the 4300 block of Galbraith School Road just before 5 p.m.

An autopsy will be performed Wednesday to determine the cause of death and to confirm the identity of the male. There were no signs of foul play. The initial indication is that the death was due to an accidental overdose. It is uncertain at this time how long the male has been deceased.
