The Campbell County Sheriff's Office says the injuries were consistent with both dated and current injuries, according to the medical examiner.

Sheriff Robbie Goins says it is a complex case and there is a lot of work to do, but his office will continue to gather evidence, interview, work with and meet with professionals until the case is resolved.
